Slick Sentinel delivered an impeccable performance to clinch the Genco Juvenile Classic at Towcester on Sunday. The race was closely contested, with the field being just a length and a half apart as they crossed the line the first time.
Trained by Patrick Janssens, Slick Sentinel shifted into high gear and took the lead, particularly after favourite Syd Zafiro was forced wide, effectively sealing the race. Despite a strong effort, the Irish competitor could only manage to chase from the second bend, unable to close the gap.
In other highlights from the Towcester event, Barntick Bear broke the track record for the 500m distance, clocking in at 28.52 seconds and shaving six-tenths off the previous record. This achievement capped off a remarkable day for Janssens and his team.
