Celebrating Hard Work and Passion
Mark Bird, GBGB’s Chief Executive, expressed his admiration for the critical role kennelhands play in the sport.
“The Kennelhand of the Year Award recognises some of our sport’s most hard-working individuals, and shines a light on the excellent care our greyhounds receive on a daily basis.”
“Along with trainers, kennelhands work long, unsociable hours to ensure the needs of the greyhounds in their care are properly met. This award is an opportunity to celebrate and thank them for their hard work and commitment.”
“I have no doubt there will be a strong field of nominees, and I’m looking forward to welcoming those shortlisted to our awards ceremony in York,” said Bird.
Tickets for the event will go on sale in early 2025, promising an unforgettable celebration of the greyhound racing community’s unsung heroes.
