National Greyhound Week Returns in August

The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is delighted to announce the return of National Greyhound Week (NGW) from August 26th to September 1st, 2024. This event will celebrate British-licensed greyhound racing, emphasising its appeal to families and people of all ages.

Building on last year's success, which saw record attendance at tracks like Oxford and Romford, this year's NGW will feature unique events at each track, including special races and activities for children. Valley Stadium will start the week with a Family Fun Day on August 25th.

The GBGB will bring its NGW Roadshow to various tracks and host the NGW Trap Challenge, where participants predict which trap will produce the most winners. The winner will enjoy a meal for four at a track restaurant of their choice.

Greyhound Ambassadors and their retired racers will also visit tracks to show what wonderful pets these dogs make.

Mark Moisley, GBGB Commercial Director, expressed excitement for the event, highlighting its potential to bring new fans to the sport and thanking all participating stadia for their support.
