Littlers Nuke (Trap 1) claimed victory in the Derby Purse for John Mullins, who had an exceptional night, securing three wins at his favourite track. Nuke, named after rising darts star Luke Littler, narrowly defeated You Two in an exhilarating 659m race, one of the most thrilling of the evening.
Mullins’ winning streak didn’t stop there. He also triumphed with Wrighty over 462m and Merlins Mate over 277m, completing a hat-trick of victories across different distances. Wrighty, a standout performer this year, proved unstoppable once he got ahead of Gary The Arb, holding the lead to the finish line.
Local trainers also had plenty to celebrate. Craig Morris enjoyed a successful night with two winners. Droopys Halley emerged victorious in a nail-biting puppy contest, where four runners crossed the line separated by just three short heads, arguably making it the most exciting race of the night.
Morris’ second win came with Cartwrights Lad, who matched Druids Say Go’s 5.19 split and dominated his race by the largest margin of the night, winning by five and quarter lengths.
Other notable winners included Laugh A Lot (Jane Craske), Ballymac Zoomey (Mark Newberry), Millbank Boiler (Gemma Evans), Slick Serenity (Jason Bloomfield), Gurtnacrehy Paul (Cornelius Condon), and Pin It All for Lauren Sawyer.
