Knegare Dominates in Juvenile Classic

The second round of the Time Juvenile Classic delivered yet another surprise.

House Martin, who began the evening as a co-favourite to win the competition, faced a disappointing outcome by finishing fourth in his heat, effectively ending his chances. Despite this setback, his potential remains evident. It was also a tough night for the Droopys Sydney – Susie Sapphire litter, as Grangeclare Lady, House Martin's litter sister, was also eliminated.

The highlight of the night was Callaway Knegare, who clocked the fastest time of 27.98. Owen McKenna’s runner had previously been a finalist in an unraced stake at Cork and had already caught the attention of enthusiasts with two sub-28-second trials at Shelbourne.

Ballymac Briar, under the guidance of Liam Dowling, recorded the second-fastest time of 28.05. The other winners of the night were Cheap Sandwiches, trained by Graham Holland, who finished in 28.18, and Fun Inthe Run, trained by Michael Malone, who clocked 28.23. These performances set the stage for an exciting semi-final next week.
