Greyhound Tips for Bank Holiday Monday, 06 May 2024

After Cairo King's triumphant 11/4 victory at Romford on Friday, our expert in greyhound racing, returns with three top selections for Bank Holiday Monday.

The action kicks off with the morning card at Romford and later moves to the evening open race meeting at Nottingham, both aired live on the Sky Sports Racing main channel. As always, the other meetings and races are available on the greyhounds.attheraces.com website.

Starting off with the early Romford card, my eye is on JOVE'S POLLY, donning the white jacket in the A6 race at 11:32. Paul Young's talented bitch showed her prowess with a convincing win in an A9 contest two races back. Despite facing a stiff challenge last time, she displayed resilience to secure a second-place finish. With a cleaner break, she's primed to excel in this grade and further assert her dominance.

Heading over to Central Park for the afternoon race, I'm backing DROOPY'S COMMUTE in the 3:59 race. While not typically favouring slow starters in four-bend graded races, Droopy's Commute, a Droopy's Sydney puppy, stands out with the advantageous trap one draw. With a strategic approach and a clear run down the back straight, this blue dog has the potential to outpace competitors, especially with recent signs of improvement in his performances.

In the evening feature race at Nottingham, the four-bend dual distance trophy final at 8:09, keep an eye on MOANING ROSSI. Darren Whitton's Crayford raider showcased exceptional form in the shorter heat last week, suggesting he'll comfortably handle the extended distance and likely secure another impressive victory.

Best Bets:

11:32 Romford Jove's Polly (Trap 3)

15:59 Central Park Droopy's Commute (Trap 1)

20:09 Nottingham Moaning Rossi (Trap 3)
