Fund-racing event for Kent Charities

Central Park Stadium in Sittingbourne is kicking off its first-ever "Fund-Racer" event, designed to support Kent-based charities and causes in need of financial aid. Charities, sports clubs, community centres, and individual fundraisers are invited to join this unique opportunity on Saturday, October 26.

The event will bring together six teams of up to 100 guests, each aiming to raise up to £900 for their chosen cause. Central Park will provide each team with 100 free tickets to sell to their supporters, with all profits staying with the team. In addition, teams can boost their funds by participating in a trap challenge during the evening.

Central Park Stadium’s General Manager, Hayley Huntley, encouraged groups to register quickly, noting the financial difficulties many organisations face. She explained that the Fund-Racer offers a solution by allowing teams to raise up to £800 through ticket sales alone, making it easier for groups to gather funds without putting too much pressure on donors.

Hayley also highlighted that the initiative is open to more than just charities, extending to sports clubs and community centres looking to raise money for new equipment or services that benefit local people. She expressed her excitement about the potential impact the event could have on Sittingbourne and the surrounding areas, hoping it would make a significant difference.

With spaces limited, interested groups are encouraged to register soon for this fun and beneficial event.
