Freddie Eyes Victory in the Puppy Classic

Freddie, under the care of trainer David Mullins, delivered a remarkable trial at Nottingham, clocking an impressive time of 29.56 (+40). This performance was significantly faster, by over four lengths, compared to any other trial run that evening. Notably, Freddie achieved this with a relatively slow start, clocking a sectional time of 5.21. With only eight races under his belt, Freddie has consistently posted impressive times, highlighting his potential.

Earlier this year, Freddie recorded a time of 28.98 at Hove in May, which stands as the third-fastest time in 2024 over the 500m distance, trailing only behind Queen Joni and Droopys Pivotel. The heats for the Puppy Classic are scheduled for Monday, August 12, with a grand final offering £12,500 to the winner on August 26.

In other races at Nottingham, Cappaneale Rocky claimed victory for trainer John Lambe, Droopys Superstar triumphed for Michael Burton, and Stewart Pedder's Goldcash Bison also secured a win.
