Excitement Builds for the Upcoming RCÉ Winter Racing Festival

With the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby quarter-finals just wrapping up, it may feel odd to think ahead. However, with this year’s calendar, anticipation quickly shifts to the RCÉ Winter Racing Festival, set to kick off shortly after the Derby wraps up.

The festival will take place over two thrilling days—Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th. Promotions for the Winter Racing Festival are expected to go live this week, offering something for every greyhound enthusiast. A series of sweepstakes will begin a week prior to the festival and conclude on the festival’s opening night, providing excitement leading up to the main events.

The second night of the festival boasts a familiar setup, featuring a fantastic array of €5,000 and €10,000 championship races, sure to attract top greyhounds from the training circuits.

Racing Schedule Highlights:

- Thursday, November 28th: Includes A4 525 and A3 525 races, both with a winner’s prize of €1,750, plus a dual-distance event.

- Friday, November 29th: Highlights include an A1 525 race and an A1 550 race, each offering a €2,000 prize.

- Saturday, November 30th: Features multiple A0 and A0/A1 races, with prize money up to €2,000.

Festival Weekend Events:

- Friday, December 6th: The “Old Stagers 525” for greyhounds born before June 2021, awarding €1,000.

Note: All entries for select races close sharply at 9 pm on Monday, December 2nd, with text-only entries accepted at 085 8004891.

- Saturday, December 7th: Showcases prestigious races like the Juvenile 525, SS0 350, and AA0 Bitch 550, each with a €5,000 prize. The night’s highlight races offer €10,000 for winners in AA0 and DD0 categories, including the 525, 550, 575, 600, and 750 races.

The RCÉ Winter Racing Festival promises a lineup of intense, high-stakes competition, drawing the finest greyhounds and ensuring an unforgettable weekend for fans and participants alike.
