Jim Daly secured a double victory on the race card at Nottingham.
Faithful Friend clinched the Arc Ladies Standard Trophy Final for Daly, finishing in 30.08 seconds. This marks her sixth win in seven starts, with victories across three A2-level races, an A1, and her heat last week. Daly’s success didn’t stop there—Jaymir Lucy also delivered a win, providing some relief to bookmakers after a streak of favoured winners in the sprint.
In the Arc Gents Standard Trophy Final, Stephen Naylor’s Catunda Ciaran took the top spot with a time of 30.14. Meanwhile, the fastest 500m of the evening came from Kevin Boon’s Bockos Thunder, clocking in at 29.93 seconds. Richie Taberner’s Amazing Hulk triumphed over 480m in 28.95, while Colin Wilton’s Blackboy Lizzy claimed a 500m win in 30.02.
The standout performance of the night occurred over the 305m distance, where Kylenoe Bilbo set the fastest time of the year at 17.52. Trained by Lynn Cook, this consistent greyhound has finished in the top three in his last 16 starts, winning seven of them. A former A2 winner over 500m, the switch to sprinting has brought out the best in him.
A thrilling night at Nottingham with standout performances across the board!
