21:04 YARMOUTH: MURROW INKOSI (Trap 3)

As the Click Competitions 78th E.A. Greyhound Derby Grand Final (21:04) approaches, my bet is on MURROW INKOSI (3) to bring home the trophy. This local favourite, one of three dogs unbeaten throughout the competition, showed remarkable skill last week. Although Getup Me Son (6) briefly took the lead at the final bend, Murrow Inkosi fought back and comfortably crossed the finish line more than a length ahead.

A victory for Murrow Inkosi would be a significant triumph for his trainer, Richard Fitch. His semi-final time on normal ground sets a high benchmark going into tonight's final.

However, there are two major contenders to watch out for. The top favourite, Druids Say Go (1), holds the prime inside lane and her early speed could help her dominate from the start. Another threat is Swift Depot (5), a six-bend Open winner known for gaining ground in the back straight and surging off the final turn with an incredible finishing kick.

19:39 YARMOUTH: NOT SO SLOW (Trap 4)

Another highlight tonight is the MWD Partnership Sprint Grand Final (19:39). NOT SO SLOW (4), a sprinter who secured a comfortable victory last week, is expected to do the same again. With three railers on his inside, he has the room to accelerate into the first bend with ease. Last week, he clocked the fastest heat time and has won seven of his 11 Open sprint races—making him a formidable competitor.

Still, Guzzler (6) poses a potential threat. Known for manœuvring through crowded races at Yarmouth, he showed his resilience last week by overcoming trouble to win. While he’s a strong contender, I believe he'll be outpaced early by Not So Slow.

20:13 YARMOUTH: YOU TWO (Trap 6)

Finally, in the MWD Partnership Derby Purse Grand Final (20:13), YOU TWO (6) stands out. Positioned wide, he’s likely to avoid the rough-and-tumble on the opening turn and use his speed to build an early lead. Though he's only run three races over longer distances than 575m, if he maintains his advantage, he may fend off stronger rivals in the closing stages.

Best Bets

  • 19:39 YARMOUTH: NOT SO SLOW (Trap 4)
  • 20:13 YARMOUTH: YOU TWO (Trap 6)
  • 21:04 YARMOUTH: MURROW INKOSI (Trap 3)

Enjoy the day and don't miss out on these exciting picks!
