15:38 ROMFORD: PLAINS DRIFTER (Trap 4)
PLAINS DRIFTER (4) might not seem like the typical Romford racer, given his slower start, but his determination in past races shows promise. Twice now, the young December pup has made impressive comebacks from behind, proving his resilience in an A6 (1538).
Although he didn't win his most recent race, there was much to admire in the way he powered through despite consistently sluggish starts. Gaining five lengths along the back straight amidst chaotic conditions was a notable achievement.
Trainer Malene Westwood’s dog will need some racing luck, as always, but with an empty box to his inside and less competition for early speed, he has a good chance to make his presence felt sooner.
19:16 CRAYFORD: DAL FLASH (Trap 1)
DAL FLASH (1), while not a strict railer, has the ideal setup to complete his hat trick in an A1 at Crayford (1916). Dave Lee’s runner will take advantage of the vacant box nearby as he slightly drifts from the traps before sharply manoeuvring around the first bend, which is where he tends to seize control.
Still relatively untested at the Kent track, he confidently handled Coppice Burton (3) in their recent clash, despite Burton's tendency to veer left at the start.
19:11 SWINDON: FLOMUR FERN (Trap 3)
FLOMUR FERN (3) showcased an electrifying late surge in her last race, narrowly missing out despite carrying a double penalty. She’s primed to redeem herself in an A2 at Swindon (1911).
After just three outings at the Wiltshire track, Angie Kibble’s bitch has plenty of potential to improve, particularly now that she’s reaching her peak form. With Letter Light (2) likely to head for the rail, FLOMUR FERN should have ample space to work with on the outside.
