Daily Greyhound Tips - August 7, 2024

13:42 NOTTINGHAM: HINAULT MCROW (Trap 2)

Hinault Mcrow (Trap 2) showcases excellent form in the A3 race at Nottingham (13:42). Aiming for a third consecutive win following victories in A5 and A4 this July, he is expected to outpace his competitors early on and maintain a strong lead. Even if he doesn't start in front, his tenacity ensures he remains competitive throughout the race. His recent performance marked his fastest time, suggesting a repeat effort will likely secure him the top spot.

Harwell Charlie (Trap 4) also displays notable early speed and will be quick out of the traps. If there's any disruption, he might break away from the pack, but ultimately, Hinault Mcrow's strength should prevail over him.

20:07 PERRY BARR: DROPSY OOMALLEY (Trap 4)

Dropsy Omalley (Trap 4) races in the S3 at Perry Barr tonight (20:07), taking on a longer distance for the first time in a while. With just four races over six bends, she last won a Minor Open in January with an impressive 40.84 seconds. Matching that performance today would make her a sure winner. Although she tends to start slow, she gains significant speed towards the end, picking off competitors in the latter stages of the race.

Grey Dove (Trap 6), identifiable by her stripes, will likely set the pace early due to her four-bend speed. However, her single previous attempt over six bends resulted in a fifth-place finish, indicating she might struggle to maintain her lead. Yet, any mishaps in the race could allow her to capitalise from the front.

20:13 ROMFORD: LOOKBACKINANGER (Trap 2)

Finally, at Romford (20:54), Lookbackinanger (Trap 2) presents as a promising contender with only three career starts. His recent performances, including two second-place finishes, highlight his potential. Despite needing to close the gap with more experienced competitors, his limited exposure suggests untapped potential. A strong position around the opening turn could allow him to excel down the back straight.

Duchess Harbour is also one to watch. Although she boasts the fastest time in the field, her performance has been inconsistent since an injury in June. While her trial times haven't been impressive, she might need a few more runs to regain her peak form, but she remains a valuable prospect.
