Daily Greyhound Tips - August 27, 2024

After sifting through numerous races and examining form lines, it’s clear that Central Park holds the most promise for finding winners.

20:13 CENTRAL PARK: MONLEEK PERU (Trap 2)

Although typically it is to be avoided to be repeating selections in graded races, MONLEEK PERU (Trap 2) stands out as a solid choice to repeat last week’s victory in feature A1 (20:13).

Barry O’Sullivan’s dog caught attention with his impressive back-straight speed during that win, which was particularly noteworthy as it was his debut at this track. Given the circumstances, further improvement seems likely.

Three competitors from that same race are set to face off again, with Westwood Lenny (Trap 6) emerging as a more significant threat, especially if he can get a clean break, which should also impact the betting odds.

21:23 CENTRAL PARK: KING MARVIN (Trap 6)

KING MARVIN (Trap 6) has been consistently making his mark in top-grade sprints since his arrival from Hove. He’s poised to build on last week’s short-odds victory in a D1 (21:23).

This race might see a more competitive betting landscape with Killuran Bella (Trap 1), who has been performing well in Crayford Opens and is closely matched with King Marvin in local form. However, King Marvin’s explosive speed out of the traps, especially when drawn in six, has been the key to his success, and he looks set to secure his fourth win in six similar races.

21:04 CENTRAL PARK: KILWEST DAISY (Trap 1) (NON-RUNNER)

The penultimate race, an A2 (21:04), feels like a replay of last week’s event, with all but the winner returning to compete. However, a slight shift in the hierarchy could be on the cards, with KILWEST DAISY (Trap 1) (NON-RUNNER) favoured to come out on top.

Luke Morrison’s greyhound showed promise last week, displaying some pace as she entered the final bend in her first four-bend race since returning from a break. While there’s a concern she might need another run to fully hit her stride, she has the potential to improve by five lengths, especially as No More Biscuits (Trap 2), who finished just ahead of her last time, continues to struggle to clinch wins despite a strong finish that certainly caught the eye.

Best Bets

  • 20:13 CENTRAL PARK: MONLEEK PERU (Trap 2)
  • 21:04 CENTRAL PARK: KILWEST DAISY (Trap 1) (NON-RUNNER)
  • 21:23 CENTRAL PARK: KING MARVIN (Trap 6)

Enjoy the evening and good luck with your bets!
