This morning brought disappointing news as it was confirmed that Ballyhimikin Rex will not be participating in the semi-finals of the Willwego.com Irish St. Leger this Saturday at Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
The greyhound, owned by Billy and John Dunne, had been performing exceptionally well throughout the Classic and was expected to be the favourite in the second semi-final. With his withdrawal, the race will now proceed with only five contenders.
